Here is a condensed version of the 1981 documentry by Joe Massot. Initially this was to be a film on the band Madness, but once Joe got involved he realized that he needed to change and make this film about the 2-Tone movement. I remember the first time I heard Dance Craze as a teenager it changed my life. Finding out that it was a soundtrack to a movie I went insane. I finally got a copy and enjoyed it fully. I hope you do also, because if there was no 2-Tone we would have never had the ska revival.

The Twisted Wheel Story

El "Twisted Wheel" es uno de los primeros clubs que tocaban lo que se llama Northern Soul hoy. Este club duro del 1963 hasta 1971 cuando cerro. Este disco nos muestra la musica de el club The Twisted Wheel.

The Twisted Wheel was considered one of the first clubs to play Northern Soul. Opened from 1963 to 1971 it provided a place for the all night dances. This disk gives us a sample of the music we would have heard at The Twisted Wheel club.

Wigan Casino was a well known club in the outskirts of Manchester, England. Its claim to fame was the All Nighter Soul Dances. During the 70's and early 80's the club played Northern Soul on the weekends, till the clubs demise in the 80's because of a fire. This compilation is a good reprisentation of the music that you would have heard on a weekend night at Wigan Casino.
